Your responsibilities

As an Accountant you will be part of the international Financeteam and take care of the day-to-day accounting tasks for the german GmbH. You will serve as the first point of contact for internal and external accounting inquiries, working closely with the VP Finance & Operations to support all accounting functions. Your primary responsibilities include:

What will you do with EP?

Processing of ongoing accounting transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset & stock management, banks, general ledger accounts)
Taking care of payment transactions and dunning procedures.
Account assignment and posting of all current business transactions
Checking, recording and approving incoming and outgoing invoices
Carry out preparatory work for the monthly and annual financial statements.
Beeing part of the team for the planned switch to SAP as fully centralized operational and financial reporting system.
General ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and reviews of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Contact & in-charge of financial audit reviews

Your profile

We’re looking for a qualified and driven candidate who can contribute to EP Equipment’s innovation and reliability with a strong financial acumen:

Language Skills: Fluent in English and in German is a “must have”
Educational Background: A vocational training and at least 5 years professional experience as a “Buchhalter/in” at a GmbH based in Germany (HGB), including relating German tax accounting; experience in import/export accounting is a +
Strong interpersonal skills: as well oral as written, with critical eye on information and communication
Audits: Experience in conducting and supporting international audits, IFRS reporting knowledge is a +
Tools: Confident use of financial software (SAP, Datev & Unternehmen Online and ideally Sage).
Flexibility: Willingness for periodic travel to our branch in Belgium, near Brussels
Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and implementing solutions that support the company’s growth and financial health.

Deine Aufgaben bei uns

Du bist Teil des internationalen Finanzteams und kümmerst dich um die täglichen Buchhaltungsaufgaben für die deutsche GmbH. Du bist erster Ansprechpartner für interne und externe Buchhaltungsanfragen und arbeitest eng mit dem Vice President Finance & Operations und den Kollegen aus der belgischen Gesellschaft zusammen.

Deine Aufgaben umfassen:

Bearbeitung laufender Buchhaltungstransaktionen (Debitorenbuchhaltung, Kreditorenbuchhaltung, Anlagen- und Bestandsverwaltung, Banken, Hauptbuchhaltung)
Abwicklung des Zahlungsverkehrs und des Mahnwesens.
Kontierung und Verbuchung aller laufenden Geschäftsvorfälle
Prüfung, Erfassung und Freigabe von Eingangs- und Ausgangsrechnungen
Vorbereitende Arbeiten für den Monats- und Jahresabschluss.
Mitwirkung bei der geplanten Umstellung von Sage auf SAP als vollständig zentralisiertes Betriebs- und Finanzberichtssystem.
Abstimmung des Hauptbuchs, Journalbuchungen und Überprüfung der Debitoren- und Kreditorenbuchhaltung.

Das bringst du mit

Wir freuen uns auf jemand, der fachlich fit ist und dazu beiträgt für EP die finanzwirtschaftliche Basis für die nächsten Expansionsschritte sicherzustellen.

Was brauchst du dafür?

Sprachen: Du kommunizierst sicher auf Englisch und in Deutsch (ohne geht’s nicht)
Ausbildung: Du bist Steuerfachangestellte/r, Kauffrau/mann oder Bilanzbuchhalter/in und bringst mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung aus der Buchhaltung in einer in Deutschland geführten GmbH (HGB) einschließlich der entsprechenden deutschen Steuerbuchhaltung; Erfahrung in der Import-/Exportbuchhaltung ist ein Pluspunktmit
Audits: Du kennst die Durchführung internationaler Audits, und kannst zielführend unterstützen. Kenntnisse im Bereich IFRS-Berichterstattung sind von Vorteil.
Tools: Sicherer Umgang mit Finanzsoftware (SAP, Datev Unternehmen Online und idealerweise Sage).

· Flexibilität: Bereitschaft, regelmäßig zu unserer Niederlassung in Belgien zu reisen.
· Problemlösungsorientierung: Du bist aufmerksam für Möglichkeiten der Prozessverbesserungen und bringt Ideen für Lösungen, die das Wachstum und die finanzielle Gesundheit des Unternehmens unterstützen, ein.
